The Government has launched energy performance certificates (EPC) for domestic and non domestic properties to help cut carbon emissions, the new measures are intended to help tackle climate change and form part of the UK government response to the EU Energy Performance in Buildings Directive. Only an accredited energy assessor, approved through a government accreditation scheme can issue an EPC.
